About Us

Our Philosophy

Happy Hearts is a team of highly experienced therapists who each have a Big Heart for making a POSITIVE difference in the lives of young children and their families.

We work hand-in-hand with parents and caregivers, listening to their concerns and priorities to set goals and develop an individualized plan for each child. We know children learn best from the people they spend the most time with–that’s you!–so we coach and equip family members to use simple evidence-based strategies during daily routines to teach their child new skills. The best part of our job is giving you the knowledge and confidence to help your child and watching your family make progress together!

Meet Jess Tofany

Founder and Team Leader

Since 2010, Happy Hearts has grown to a team of over 20 independent contractors specializing in hearing, speech and language, occupational, and behavior therapy and special instruction. Jess named the business Happy Hearts because her goal–and the company’s tagline–is to make a positive difference in a child’s life.

She has found her career to be extremely rewarding, especially when she gets to see progress in the families she works with. At the core, she wants to make each family Happy Hearts works with happy with the services that are provided.

What is Early Intervention?

Early Intervention is a federal program available to any child who is at-risk for or shows signs of a developmental delay or disability.

An evaluation is required to determine eligibility. Qualifying children receive services free of charge, no matter a family’s income. Services take place in a child’s natural environment, such as their home or daycare. The goal is to work closely with caregivers to teach the child new skills that maximize their learning potential at this critical stage in their development and help them succeed throughout their life. Early Intervention can help children with developmental delays become more independent and prevent the need for future assistance, while giving parents a chance to better understand their child’s development and how they can be part of their growth.
